Creativity fosters mental growth in children by providing opportunities for trying out new ideas, and new ways of thinking and problem-solving! Children develop creativity, social skills, and fine motor skills with open-ended art projects where they can use their imagination! The creativity in our littlest learners shined so BRIGHT on this rainy day!
April is Autism Awareness Month to increase understanding & acceptance of individuals with autism. We are ALWAYS working together in our classrooms!

ECC read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and reviewed the days of the week, counting, nutrition, and the life cycle of a butterfly. Creativity and joy occurs through learning.
Room 18 receives trophies for identifying 40 & 60 sight words! Recognizing words by sight helps kids become faster, more fluent readers.
ECC completed an author study week with specific books and authors each day to celebrate reading! Our goal is to show our children the joy of reading and build a nation of readers. We celebrated on Read Across America Day & Dr. Seuss' Birthday, March 2nd, (and every day) using books that help students discover their own voices and learn from the voices of others.
