4th Annual Lawrence High School Poetry Contest: Open to All Students, Faculty and Staff
Due Friday February 16th for students wishing to submit to Walt Whitman Birthplace Association
Final Due Date Friday March 1st For All Students and Staff
Students who submit a poem will be awarded 1 hour of civic engagement
1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be given out to students and staff!

Freshman Class
Happy Valentines Day!! The Freshman Class will be selling teddy bears and chocolate for $5 in the front lobby before school and all day today, Buy one for a friend, teacher, or loved one!!
Battle of the Classes
Battle of the classes T shirt sign up QR codes are in the halls today, please log in to the google form and sign up with your grade. Freshman sophomore and junior shirts are 12 dollars, Seniors are 15 All shirt orders are due by Thursday February 15th.

SUIT UP!! Battle of the Classes will be taking place on Thursday, February 29! Spirit Week will be the week of Feb 26-March 1.
Monday: Pajama Day
Tuesday: Terrible Fits Tuesday (wear the ugliest outfit in your closet)
Wednesday: Dress Your Grade Day (Freshmen Babies, Sophomore Toddlers, Junior Adults, and Senior Citizens)
Thursday: Battle of the Classes (wear your BOTC shirt)
Friday: Fairy Tale Friday (dress like you’re in a fairy tale. Examples: Kings, Queens, Princes, Princesses, Wizards, Witches, Vampires, Knights, etc.)

Varsity Baseball
Baseball Players There will be a short Varsity Baseball meeting this afternoon in the gym directly after school. Bring you glove if you have one. Mr. Ziff is available if you have any questions, All are welcome.

Senior News
Put your phones away, let's roller skate! Show off your dance moves or roller-skating tricks and let's roll it through the night till the wheels fall off! We got you a fresh pair of roller skates at the Hip-Hop and R&B night at the United Skates of America on March 2nd between 8-10 pm.!
MUST sign up on the Senior Google Classroom in the Google Form attached there to reserve skates and food at the place NO later than Feb. 28, 3 pm.

JUNIOR CLASS
A reminder that the Junior Class is also having a raffle for a Large Teddy Bear. Raffles are $1 for one ticket and $4 for five tickets.
Good morning The Junior class will be selling Roses in the Lobby this morning for Valentines Day. Roses are $3 and there is an option for glitter Roses as well. Roses that were pre-ordered will be delivered 4th, 5th and 6th period. Happy Valentines Day
