Today we celebrated Truck Day! We saw police cars, fire trucks, boom trucks and an ice cream truck! Thank you Councilwoman Melissa Miller and Town of Hempstead for bringing your trucks and teaching us about community helpers.
On behalf of our Board of Education, district administration, building administrators and district faculty and staff, I would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation to the Lawrence community for approving our 2024-2025 budget and capital project propositions. With this budget, we can continue to provide the highest quality education our students deserve.
Together, we are investing in our children's future and giving them the skills and knowledge they will need to succeed in their future endeavors and wherever their passions and interests may lead them.

Artsy Thursday! We painted using anything but paintbrushes. We painted with sponges, rubber balls, forks and bottle caps!
We are excited to announce that Lawrence Union Free School District has been chosen as one of the 975 school districts nationwide to receive acknowledgement towards their efforts in having Music Education be a large part of the learning opportunities given to our students. Lawrence has been truly dedicated to making music an impact on its students, giving them creativity, critical thinking and so much more! We continue to strive and bring joy to our Lawrence students throughout their educational journey here with us!
Work Together Wednesday! Today we worked together to make the parachute go up and down. We also had to keep the balls from flying off the parachute. Lots of fun and laughter as Week of the Young Child continues.
Week of the Young Child continues and on "Tasty" Tuesday, we created healthy faces using different vegetables supplied to us by Food Services. Children used carrots, cucumbers, and celery to make happy faces.
This week we celebrate Week of the Young Child. Today for Music Monday, we watched Lawrence Middle School sing songs from their show, Shrek Jr! We also made instruments and played different instruments in our classrooms.

St. Patrick's Day fun! We had themed centers and sorted lucky charm cereal. We also did an experiment with skittles and watched the colors create a rainbow.
