Today we celebrated 100 days of school! It’s been an incredible journey of growth, learning, and fun for our little learners, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments. To mark this special occasion, we had planned some exciting activities. Today we counted 100 objects and completed 100 exercises!
Here’s to 100 days of learning, laughter, and love!

Happy World Read Aloud Day! World Read Aloud Day was created by the non-profit LitWorld and sponsored by Scholastic, is celebrated annually in over 173 countries and is all about bringing people together through the shared connection of reading aloud in all of our communities. Today students listened to a read aloud read live by the author! They were also able to choose some books to take home and keep. Read a book with your child daily and enjoy the endless adventures each story takes you on!

Today we celebrated Peaceful Letter Day. We read the book Alphabet Mystery by Audrey Wood. We went on a quest to find letter "x" and found other letters along the way. After solving riddles and finding all of the letters including X we built our own letters using craft sticks.

We celebrated Multicultural Day by having a parade and inviting families into our classrooms to teach us about their culture, customs and traditions. We enjoyed learning about all the different countries our families represent!

Multicultural Day will be on Friday, January 19th at 1:00pm. Families are welcome to join us as we parade through the Pre-K hallway wearing clothing/colors that best represent our heritage. Please bring in your poster and an item to share with the class after the parade. Looking forward to learning about your customs and traditions!

Today we celebrated World Kindness Day! The theme for the year 2023 is "Be Kind Wherever Possible". Each class talked about ways they can be kind and why it's so important to be nice and helpful towards others. We talked about how we help by cleaning our mess, holding doors open for people, smiling and greeting one another, helping family with laundry as well as helping someone if they fall. We then recited the "Pledge of Kindness" and placed our handprint on our Kindness banner.

Today we had fun at our Fall Festival! Thank you Councilwoman Melissa Miller for donating pumpkins and fall decorations to our event. We each picked our own pumpkin, explored the inside of a pumpkin, went through a fall themed obstacle course and had apple slices for a snack while listening to a story.
