LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (MARCH 2026)—Lawrence High School’s Dance Department recently showcased its talent and passion at a dynamic dance symposium held at Hofstra University on March 18.
Selected members of the Dance Department joined more than 100 students from across Long Island for a full day of movement, learning, and collaboration. Throughout the symposium, Lawrence High School dancers participated in inspiring master classes led by college professors, gaining valuable insight into technique, performance, and the collegiate dance experience.
In addition to training, students had the opportunity to connect with peers from other high school dance programs and local dance companies, building meaningful relationships and strengthening their sense of community within the arts.
The day concluded with an electrifying performance showcase, where each participating school presented original work. Lawrence High School dancers not only performed with confidence and artistry but also engaged in an open and supportive discussion, exchanging feedback and encouragement with fellow performers.
The symposium provided an energizing and collaborative environment that celebrated creativity, expression, and the power of dance. Lawrence High School is proud of its dancers for representing the school with excellence and enthusiasm, and looks forward to participating in this inspiring event again next year.
