LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (DECEMBER 2025)—Members of the Lawrence High School Latin American Club brought warmth, energy, and compassion to the residents of the Five Towns Nursing and Rehabilitation Center during a special community visit. Led by club advisor Dr. Yochai, the students participated in a variety of uplifting activities that created moments of connection and joy for everyone involved.
Arriving with smiling faces, the high school students greeted residents with kindness and respect. They assisted with wheelchairs, delivered handmade cards, and paraded through the center with bright balloons that added a festive spirit to the day. Music played throughout the visit, inspiring students and residents alike to move, clap, and share in the lively atmosphere.
The impact of the students’ presence was immediate and heartfelt. Residents lit up as the students approached to speak with them, offer help, or simply share a moment of conversation. Staff members expressed gratitude as well, noting how meaningful it was to see residents so engaged and delighted by the visit.
The Lawrence High School Latin American Club continues to foster cultural pride, service, and meaningful outreach, and today’s visit stands as a powerful example of their commitment to giving back to the community.
