LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (APRIL 2024)—Harnessing the power of sports to ignite a passion for learning, Lawrence Middle School students are set to embark on an enriching field trip to UBS Arena, courtesy of the Everfi Future Goals Hockey Scholar Math and Science Programs.
The Everfi Future Goals initiative seamlessly integrates science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education with the exhilarating world of hockey. Through immersive real-life simulations, students have the opportunity to explore fundamental STEM concepts such as geometric constructions, energy, and forces, all within the context of the fast-paced game of hockey.
During this field trip, students will delve deeper into the intersection of STEM and sports as they embark on an unforgettable journey through the United by Hockey Mobile Museum. This interactive experience will not only provide students with a comprehensive understanding of hockey's scientific principles but will also offer hands-on activities that bridge the gap between theory and practice.
