LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (NOVEMBER 2023)—Students, families, and staff at Lawrence Primary School recently gathered to celebrate the school’s annual Turkey Trot, an event focused on physical fitness, family engagement, and fun.

The young students had the opportunity to showcase the skills they have been practicing in their physical education classes, including skipping, hopping, and galloping. The event also featured a lively rendition of the Turkey Pokey, which saw students and their families dancing and laughing together.

The Turkey Trot concluded with a cozy gathering where hot chocolate and snacks were served, generously provided by the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). This event not only promoted physical fitness but also fostered a sense of community and camaraderie among students, families, and staff.
