Good morning Lawrence Middle School, today isTuesday, March 15th, and it is Day 1. Congratulations to the Boy’s Volleyball team for their 5-0 win over Valley Stream South yesterday. As per usual, today’s X period rehearsals are 7th grade Band and Orchestra, and 8th grade chorus. Middle school students, please go to the Nurse’s office to pick up your “screening pass” so that you may get your hearing and vision checked.

Good morning Lawrence Middle School, today is Friday, March 11th, and it is Day 3. The second night of the Drama Club’s Lion King Kids performance is today! Drama Club students are expected to be at the school by 5:30pm and the show begins at 7pm. Congratulations to the Girls basketball team played a hard fought game and did a great job yesterday but fell short against Roosevelt. Next game is a home game on tuesday against Lynbrook. There will be Media Club meeting Monday at 2:45 in the Library and there will be 7th Grade Honor Society on Monday as well.

Mrs. King's seventh and eighth grade ELA students learned the art of business letter writing. Students chose their favorite companies, wrote letters explaining their interest in their products, addressed envelopes, and perfected their signatures before mailing out their masterpieces. To their delight, some responses have begun to roll in!

Thank you for your patience as we awaited clarification on changes to the mask mandate. The appellate court has issued a ‘stay’. This continues masks as mandatory for students, staff, and visitors to schools. The next step in court take place on Friday and as always I will keep you informed if anything changes.
