Students in their Classroom

Lawrence Union Free School District Welcomes Students for the 2022-2023 School Year

LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (SEPTEMBER 2022)—Lawrence Elementary School, Lawrence Middle School, Lawrence Primary School,  Lawrence High School, and Lawrence Early Childhood Learning Center open their doors on Thursday, September 1 to welcome students back for the 2022-2023 school year. “Opening day was exhilarating. It was a thrill for all of us to welcome back and experience how enthusiastic our students were to return to our hallways and classrooms for the new school year,” said Dr. Ann Pedersen, Superintendent of Schools. “First day of school is always truly special, and this year was especially so as we return to a learning environment without many of the restrictions and challenges of the past two years.”

Dr. Pedersen also noted that while students and their families were hopefully enjoying a relaxing and memorable summer, faculty and staff in the Lawrence School District were busy preparing and sprucing up the District’s school buildings and grounds, reviewing District safety and security protocols, and updating curriculums across all grade levels.
