Dear Parents,

I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is Lisa Santoiemma and I will be your Librarian for Number Six School this school year.  A school librarian may have various responsibilities however; my primary responsibility would be to use all my resources to enrich our children with new, additional knowledge.
    
The Library setting has the potential to become the center of the universe for a young inquisitive mind.  I find it extremely gratifying to see a child discover subject matter that captures his or her imagination.  Once a child makes that connection, the child is eager to explore all the research tools and reliable websites the Library has to offer.  In addition, I am aware that the School District has its share of children that need individualized special attention.  I fully intend to address theses special needs children with the very best of my ability.  
    
I will work closely with all teachers in assessing their students’ assigned curriculum.  Cooperation between the school Librarian, Teachers, Administrators and Parents makes for a solid foundation for our young eager students not just to succeed, but to exceed their goals.
