Couple, 1929Fashion in the Roaring 20s
You'll see from the great pictures and scanned pages of the Sears Catalogue, that these fashions were a drastic change from the conservative years which proceeded the 1920s. The men's clothing is remarkably similar (except for sports fashions) to today's. There are descriptions of hats, hairstyles, evening, daytime, business, and sporting apparel, as well as onsite links and some to other websites.

Here is an explanation of the Marshall Plan, which was addressed by Secretary of State George C. Marshall on June 5, 1947 and which subsequently resulted in the Economic Cooperation Act of 1948. An Internment Experience
The author of this site recollects his grandfather's and family's experiences starting with the bombing of Pearl Harbor when most American-Japanese were placed in internment camps. It describes life in the camp where they were placed after selling their home and all of their possessions and what happened to them after they were set free.
