Whereas, the Board of Education of the Lawrence Public Schools has been served with a Summons and Verified Complaint in the matter of New Central Avenue, LLC Plaintiff against the Baord of Education of the Lawrence Union Free School Dsitrict, defendant under Index Number 8300-07 seeking a declaratory judgement and
Whereas, the Board of Education is desirous of dending the aforesaid case.
Now, Therefore, upon motion of
RESOLVED, that the President of the Board of Education is hereby authorized to sign the Verification attached to theAnswer prepared by Counsel of the Board of Education and any other documents in support of the District’s position, and, it is further
RESOLVED, that the firm of Minerva & D’Agostino, P.C. is hereby authorized to appear in the action and to take all necessary steps to connection with the defense of the District.

RESOLUTION SHOWING TABULATION OF VOTES CAST AND DECLARATION OF THE RESULTS OF THE BALLOT AT ANNUAL DISTRICT ELECTION, HELD IN LAWRENCE UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF THE TOWN OF HEMPSTEAD, NEW YORK ON TUESDAY, MAY 15, 2007.
WHEREAS, the Annual District Election of the Lawrence Union Free School District of the Town of Hempstead, New York, was duly called to be held on May 15, 2007 and was held on said date in each of the five election districts within said School District for the purpose of voting on the Propositions and Elections set forth in the notice calling said Annual District Election:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT:
Resolved by the Board of Education of the
1. It is hereby determined that said
election was held in all respects in the manner prescribed by the Education Law
of the State of
2. The respective statements of the
Inspectors of Election of each Election District have been presented to the
Board of Education of said
3. It is hereby further determined that Proposition No. 1 (School Budget) was approved by majority of the votes cast thereon, and it is hereby declared to be approved.
4. It is hereby further determined that Proposition No. 2 (Library Budget) was approved by a majority of the votes cast thereon, and it is hereby declared to be approved.
5. It is hereby further determined that Proposition No. 3 (Transportation Proposition) was approved by a majority of the votes cast thereon, and it is hereby declared to be approved.
6. It is hereby further determined that Nahum Marcus, received a plurality of the votes cast for School Trustee, three-year term, and is hereby declared to be elected.
7. It is hereby further determined that Solomon Blisko, received a plurality of the votes cast for School Trustee, three-year term, and is hereby declared to be elected.
8. It is hereby further determined that David Sussman, received a plurality of the votes cast for School Trustee, three-year term, and is hereby declared to be elected.
