THE ROLE OF THE COUNSELOR

The Lawrence High School Guidance Department is committed to assisting students in assessing and understanding their aptitudes, interests and educational needs. Guidance counselors will help students formulate and achieve realistic goals. The counselors' main objective is to listen and provide students with information so that they may make suitable decisions. The guidance counselors are available to discuss any aspect of the students' academic, social or personal life in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

If you have any questions, the counselors are available during the school day, as well as during Back to School evening sessions. Students may schedule an appointment by completing a request form found in the Guidance Office. Parents can speak to their children's counselor by telephoning the Guidance Office at 295-8030.
